Campaign and content studio, developed in the dark before launch

Drafts are developed before anything is printed.

Observation

The safelight is the only colour in the room tonight. River noise stays outside the light-lock door while contact sheets dry on the line.

Founders arrive with half-formed campaign ideas, channel lists and internal disagreements about tone. We treat that bundle as raw material — not as a finished brief.

Our method is simple on paper and exact in practice. We read the brief twice, mark what must stay back, give more time to what carries the story, and file what leaves the studio in writing.

Three disciplines from Easelwork

01

Campaign architecture

We map the spine of a campaign before any channel is chosen. The architecture names audiences, proof points and the sequence of messages — all in a single document your team can annotate.

Architecture work usually precedes creative direction so that visual choices serve the narrative rather than decorate it.

02

Creative direction

Creative direction here is the discipline of restraint. We choose frames, typographic voice and photographic tone that match the written spine.

Direction notes travel with every draft so reviewers know why a line or layout was kept.

03

Editorial production

Editorial production turns approved direction into finished copy, layouts and channel-ready assets. Production follows a checklist tied to the architecture document.

Each pass is initialled on the proof sheet before it moves to the flat drawer for filing.

Robertson Quay context

Unity Street sits between river walks and service lanes where founders test copy against real foot traffic. We keep the safelight room upstairs so drafts stay private until you are ready to share them.

Most clients first reach us when a launch date is fixed but the message is not. That tension is normal — our work is to develop the spine before the channels multiply.

Starting a conversation

Email [email protected] with audience, timing, existing materials and named reviewers. We return a read memo within three working days — not a deck, not a pitch, just a plain note on whether the brief fits our bench.

From there, choose an engagement shape on Exposures, read discipline detail on Easelwork, or open Lightlock for address and hours.
